Leerdoelen At the end of the course, the student is able to:

Understand doing radio astronomical observations
Be able to do basic analysis of radio data and how to interpret the data
Omschrijving This course discusses the basics of interferometry as applied in radio astronomy. The principle aims of the course are to give the students an understanding of the theory of radio interferometry, of how interferometry is done in practise, and of the steps and processes needed to go from raw observations to calibrated derived data products that can be used to do science. A significant part of the course consists of practical exercises using real observations. After following the course, students will be able to handle the full path from raw data to calibrated data products.
