Leerdoelen	Upon completion of the course the student is able to: 1. Question and appraise the essential components of international strategic management, strategic analysis and strategic formulation in multinational companies 2. Recognise and apply the relevant theoretical models to better understand international strategic decisions, such as, for example, entry strategies, location decisions, and strategic alliance formation 3. Apply theoretical concepts to firms, that have expanded across border, to understand the sources of success and failure firms; 4. Identify new challenges and opportunities arising in the global marketplace and use the tools provided in this course, to advise firms crossing international borders; 5. Operate successfully in an international group setting. 6. Demonstrate academic and managerial skills by working in teams to prepare presentations, reports, and essays.
Omschrijving	This course provides an insight in and understanding of the management challenges associated with developing international strategies, and managing the operations of companies whose activities stretch across national boundaries. These insights and understanding are mainly gained through theory- and case-based group discussions of the relevant literature after students have developed their own opinions.
