Omschrijving | The course deals with topics like measurement, descriptive statistics, regression, factor analysis, multicollinearity, and causality, and applies these concepts to academic journal articles. The course will focus on interpretation and critical analysis of literature while using the statistical concepts mentioned before. By going through a selection of already published journal articles dealing with international business phenomena, students will familiarize themselves with the interpretation and critical analysis of existing state-of-the-art IB research. The selection of papers will be published on Nestor. Students may find it helpful to use the book from the second-year course Statistics II as background reading. |

Entreevoorwaarden | It is crucial that students understand the basics of statistics and regression, as this course is of applied nature. This means that knowledge on technical aspects related to for example variance and regression analyses is present. In particular, this course builds on the second-year course Statistics II. |
