- These listed optional modules (electives) are available, under certain conditions, as electives in the Top Master Nanoscience. The courses are taught as part of the regular Master's programmes in (applied) physics, chemistry and related programmes. However, for inclusion in the Top Master Programme in Nanoscience, they have been assigned a different credit value (in ECTS).
- Other courses from other Masterprogrammes can also be chosen as electives, provided the mentor and the Board of Examiners agree with the choice. For more information to choose electives, see:

- The chosen electives should together comprise at least 14 ECTS, split over the first and second year.
- The here listed electives are assigned 4 in stead of 5 ECTS except NACP-11 Computational physics, NASI-08 Surfaces and Interfaces and CHNC-10 Nanochemistry ; they are assigned 3 in stead of 5 ECTS.
