Leerdoelen	At the end of the course, the student is able to: - reproduce and explain the basic principles of cell compartments and microscopy - reproduce and explain the basic principles of membranes - reproduce and explain the basic principles of protein transport and intracellular membrane trafficking - reproduce and explain the basic principles of genetic information (replication, transcription, translation) - reproduce and explain the basic regulation of gene expression - reproduce and explain basic recombinant DNA techniques
Omschrijving	During the course the basic processes of cell biology and molecular biology will be addressed. The cell biology lectures include topics like cell membranes, cell compartments, vesicle transport inside the cell, cell cycle, and mitosis and meiosis. The molcular biology lectures include topics like DNA structure and replication, RNA and transcription, protein synthesis, gene expression and basic recombinant DNA techniques.
