Omschrijving	This course extends the existing knowledge of conventional x-ray imaging techniques and ultrasound. By lectures, practical sessions and handouts, the following subjects are covered: - theory of x-ray tubes and detector systems, extended to practical examples - theory of mammography systems, complemented with clinical experience of a radiologist - theory of an ultrasound system, with hands-on sessions - theory of a fluoroscopy/intervention system, complemented with the clinical experience of a radiologic technician - radiation safety en risks for patients and personnel - student presentations by articles of the AAPM available on Nestor - practical sessions during which the student can learn how to operate ultrasound or x-ray equipment and how to perform quality measurements

Entreevoorwaarden	The course unit assumes prior knowledge acquired from the bachelor course Imaging Techniques in Radiology 1.
Opmerkingen	Mandatory presence for the practical sessions and the student presentations. Consequences of missing either one of them is writing an assignment. Please note that due to Corona/Covid regulations the above mentioned Teaching method and/or Assessment could be subject to change.
