Omschrijving | This course extends the existing knowledge of conventional x-ray imaging techniques and ultrasound. By lectures, practical sessions and handouts, the following subjects are covered: - theory of x-ray tubes and detector systems, extended to practical examples - theory of mammography systems, complemented with clinical experience of a radiologist - theory of an ultrasound system, with hands-on sessions - theory of a fluoroscopy/intervention system, complemented with the clinical experience of a radiologic technician - radiation safety en risks for patients and personnel - student presentations by articles of the AAPM available on Nestor - practical sessions during which the student can learn how to operate ultrasound or x-ray equipment and how to perform quality measurements |

Opmerkingen | Mandatory presence for the practical sessions and the student presentations. Consequences of missing either one of them is writing an assignment. Please note that due to Corona/Covid regulations the above mentioned Teaching method and/or Assessment could be subject to change.
