Leerdoelen	The fundamental concepts and basic knowledge in the area of organic chemistry will be dealt with. This module supports other molecular modules and it serves as a preparation to the modules Organic and Biosynthesis and Organic Chemistry Practical. At the end of the module students will have acquired the following skills: Drawing molecules, representing chemical reactions and solving chemical problems concerning the material.
Omschrijving	The following subjects will be dealt with: 1) configuration and bonding 2) molecule structures and their representations 3) an introduction to reactivity 4) reactions of alkenes 5) stereochemistry 6) electron delocalization 7) substitution reactions 8) nucleophilic acyl substitution reactions.
