| Omschrijving | - To develop academic research and communication skills, namely how to a. formulate a research question b. find relevant scientific papers (introduction PubMed, WoS) c. critically read and comment on scientific papers d. write scientifically (incl. poster preparation) e. present research orally - To learn about research codes of conduct with respect to: a. Principles underlying the Dutch Code of Conduct for Academic Practice (Nederlandse Gedragscode Wetenschapsbeoefening) b. Academic fraud, including plagiarism, fabrication of information or lab results, and cheating on exams - To become familiar with research in the Groningen Research Institute of Pharmacy |

Ia - Individual assignment: “Working with scientific literature” assignment, using a publication provided by the selected learning community as the working example (20% of final grade) - Sem. Ia - Bonus (0.5 point added to final grade) for passing the “how to work with scientific literature” on-line quiz (individually completed) (Univ. Groningen library) - Sem. IIa – Preparation of a poster presentation about a selected research topic (groups of 3-4 students (40% of final grade) - Sem.
