Omschrijving The energy transition creates many challenges in the supply of renewable energy sources:
- The supply network has to be redesigned
- Unbalanced supply of wind and solar energy requires storage solutions such as hydrogen with implications for transport
- Offshore wind farms and other new solutions raise needs in terms of service logistics and asset management
In the first half of the course an introduction into the main issues raised by sustainable energy supply is provided. In the second half of the course students will work on real-life projects in a specific domain. Quantitative energy data will be used. Projects for different levels of quantitative skills will be provided.
