Leerdoelen Upon completion of this course the student is able to:
• understand the crucial role of supply chain in a firms’ value chain
• identify contemporary theoretical insights in strategic supply chain management by reviewing the supply chain literature
• explain how external developments are changing future supply chains
• develop supply chain strategies to create a sustainable competitive advantage
• distinguish and analyze the factors that affect logistic performance
• explain how digitalization affect supply chains and critical success factors in logistics
• understand and develop supply chains that enable an omni-channel strategy
• work and cooperate in a team
• present relevant information in a logical, convincing and clear way
Omschrijving In order to deliver superior value to the market, firms have to understand their value chain and specifically how they manage the supply chain form a demand perspective. Almost all companies face an increased complexity in their supply chains caused by global competition, more demanding customers, worldwide outsourcing and digital developments.
