Omschrijving | For a period of approx. 4-5 months (560 hours) full time (possibly spread over a longer period part time) students do an internship at an organization where they are involved in projects and tasks in an international business environment. The internship provides a student the possibility to develop more practical experience and skills in the field of international business, gain more insight into strengths, ambitions and points of development and enhances the professional orientation. As long as University or FEB measures against COVID-19 prohibit this, the internship does not necessarily take place in another country than the Netherlands or student’s home country. The company, and the tasks of the internship, should involve enough relation with international business. In this way, students can gain experience and knowledge in/of international business without having to travel in times of possible anti COVID-19 measures. Students have to find their own internships and write a proposal for approval by a FEB lecturer to make sure there is enough connection to the study programme and its intended learning outcomes. |

Entreevoorwaarden | Students need to have been admitted to the minor. Thereafter, students have to find their own internship and write a proposal which proves the relation between theory and methods used in the BSc IB and the tasks and responsibilities the student will have in the internship. This proposal needs to be approved by both the company supervisor and FEB lecturer after which the student is officially part of the course. |

Opmerkingen | The course is part of the 30 EC minor International Business Internship, so parallel to the 20 EC internship course, a student needs to complete two 5EC courses. These courses are offered only in semester 1. The course is supported by the internship coordinator of FEB Career Services: Nienke van den Berg MA (h.j.van.den.berg@rug.nl) |
