Omschrijving | In this course we discuss how multiple forms of inequalities (particularly gender and identity) intersect and create obstacles for individuals to achieve health as a quality of life. As the first step, students learn to critically analyze diversity as a construct. Next, key theories and frameworks are introduced to understand the role of diversities in creating unequal health outcomes. Finally, we critically analyze health interventions based on an understanding of how health issues have come about and how applying intersectionality as a framework could help improving our policies and interventions. | ||||||||||||
