FEB Career Services and Corporate Relations is hiring!

We are looking for a Student Assistant Alumni Office (8 hrs p/w).

FEB Careers Services and Corporations Relations is FEB's supportive staff department for career services for our students, external relations and alumni relations. We offer a wide range of courses, workshops, events and advice to prepare students for their future and help them launch a successful career. We work in a team of around ten staff members (director, corporate relation managers, project managers, communication staff and an alumni officer).

For our Alumni Officer, we are looking for a student assistant to complement her daily activities. Working as student assistant you will take on alumni event management tasks, support in alumni relations management, update our alumni database andmaintain or FEB Alumni Network platform consistly. What you will be doing:

  • (Help) organize FEB Alumni Network alumni events from A to Z (such as the annual alumni year event in Amsterdam): find speakers, think about interesting subjects, prepare for and promote the event, assist while the event takes place, welcoming guests etcetera.
  • Create communication material; flyers, folders, emails concerning events organized by FEB Alumni Network
  • Support in alumni mentoring projects: search for alumni mentors and take care of the mentoring communication towards master programmes, students and alumni
  • Work together with the Careers Services Student Team in developing and representing alumni career services towards students; be representative at students events
  • Collect alumni content like interesting news items and material which can be used to communicate to alumni via the alumni platform
  • Administrative tasks: updating and optimizing CRM system with information from alumni
  • Support in other ad-hoc tasks needed to be done for alumni relations and career services

Do you recognize yourself in these requirements?

  • BSc or MSc FEB student;
  • Available for at least a full year (January 2019 - December 2019); position may be open for longer if fitted with the candidate;
  • Aware of the importance of alumni relations for the university, alumni and students;
  • Proactive and independent worker;
  • Excellent communications skills in Dutch and good skills in English;
  • Strong organisational skills; open to feedback; accurate worker; service-oriented; experience with organizing events
  • Ideally, the candidate has experience in a committee within a FEB study association or a previous student-assistantship and/or is familiar with the FEB organization

The offer:

You will be appointed for one day a week (8-hour contract) as a staff member of the Faculty of Economics and Business and will get paid accordingly. Working days are flexible per week and can easily be adjusted to your lectures and exams. Start: January 2018, in consultation with FEB alumni officer Susanne Klinkers.
