Finding internships
Finding internships

On the 23rd of November, Mediastages was at the University of Groningen for an information session about internships in media. Kirsten Bense from Mediastages delivered an enthusiastic presentation in which she made clear what Mediastages has to offer to students, what kinds of internships are available in media, and, of course, the best way to apply to these internships!

Kirsten's application tips:

  • Do not write a standard letter and keep things short. Companies will know when you are sending the same letter to everyone!
  • Give some explicit examples when describing yourself. You are creative, how does that come forth?
  • Be yourself, and be the best version of yourself. Make clear that you are enthusiastic and willing to learn.
  • Ask questions! That way, you make clear that you are genuinely interested in the company.

For the students, this presentation was a real eye-opener. In short, it was an instructive presentation that will come to good use when searching for an internship!
