review process into the suitability and reliability of administrators and commissioners in the financial sector must be implemented in a more transparent way. That is one of the main conclusions of the report by an independent, external committee consisting of Prof. Annetje Ottow of Utrecht University (chair), Janka Stoker, Professor of Leadership and Organizational Change at the Faculty of Economics and Business, and Jan Hommen, former CEO of the ING Group.
DNB asked the committee to investigate whether the current organization and resulting procedure at DNB and the AFM regarding the suitability and reliability reviews of administrators and commissioners in the financial sector form an adequate implementation of the tasks imposed by legislation.
