Groningen top contributor to NARCIS

26 May 2015

NARCIS is the main national portal for access to scientific information, including (open access) publications from the repositories of all the Dutch universities, KNAW, NWO and a number of research institutes, datasets from some data archives as well as descriptions of research projects, researchers and research institutes.

In the course of the last week, a 'harvest' took place to upload all publications collected in the University of Groningen research database Pure (including those of the Groningen University Medical Centre). The result is a total number of more than 195,000 University of Groningen publications in NARCIS. On a total of 1.1 million publications, this means almost 20% thereof is of Groningen origin! This makes the University of Groningen the top contributor of publications in NARCIS.
