University Library temporarily accessible for University of Groningen students and staff only

14 January 2015

From Monday 19 January through Sunday 1 February, the University Library is accessible for University of Groningen students and staff only (and of course UMCG staff).

The University Library counted more than 1.6 million visitors in 2014. To cope with the ever increasing crowds in the library, four two-week periods have been scheduled in which the University Library is only accessible for students and staff of the University of Groningen. Hanze students will have no access to the library in these periods. The Hanze University however has created 400 extra work places in the city centre for their students in this period.

In the above-mentioned periods, library staff will ask visitors for their RUG-pass at the library entry.
