Catalogus Professorum Academiae Groninganae: a database with biografical and iconographic data about every professor conected to the Groningen university since its foundation in 1614. As of today this database is online.
The Catalogus Professorum is the result of a project initiated more than 10 years ago, and still running. The information about the university's history proved far from complete; for instance, an overview of all professors (and their publications) since 1614 was lacking. Volunteers and staff of the University Library and University Museum worked hard to fill the database since then.
Everything you always wanted to know about the professors, their status, their work and their portraits has now been collected in this Catalogus Professorum Academiae Groninganae.
For more information about the Catalogus Professorum you can contact Margreet Nieborg.
