CEASG's first annual East Asia Lecture 2014 takes place on 7 April 2014, 16:00-17:30 in the Aula (main auditorium) of the University of Groningen. The lecture is organised with the Asia Carousel of the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affiars and SIB.

The annual lecture is delivered by a prominent or influential speaker from the western world (Minister Frans Timmermans, 2014) or East Asia (2015. At the event the speaker shares his/her's analysis, visions or aspirations for contemporary East Asia. CEASG organises this lecture in association with SIB and the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
