During the seminar three students will be selected to visit and meet the Asia Department of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, The Hague.
Speaker: Alex Oosterwijk studied History at the University of Groningen from 1990 to 1995. After finishing his military service, Alex Oosterwijk joined the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1996. Alex has had diplomatic postings in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Albania, Kosovo and in Austria at the OSCE Headquarters in Vienna. He has worked at the Netherlands Embassy in Moscow (Russia) and New Delhi (India) and in 2009 lived and worked in Uruzgan Province Southern Afghanistan as NATO Political Advisor. Alex Oosterwijk currently works at the Asia Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as policy coordinator for Asian countries such as India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Japan, South Korea & North Korea.
