Clinical Genetics clinic ranks 1st

01 October 2013

In a recent survey of patient satisfaction in all university medical centres in the Netherlands, the CQ-index, the Clinical Genetics clinic at the UMCG came out on top. Within the UMCG as a whole, Clinical Genetics ranks 3rd out of 28 outpatient clinics in patient satisfaction. Patients gave high scores, in particular, for communication with doctors and genetic consultants, the possibility to have a say in which additional diagnostic tests or investigations* should be performed, the attention paid to partners and family members, and for the clinic’s cooperation with other care providers. Accessibility and patient intake had lower scores: so this is where we can work to improve! The next survey will take place the beginning of next year.
