Digital Testing: A matter of course?
Information meeting digital testing University of Groningen
12 June 2012
Taking exams on a computer is a logical development. Students are hardly surprised by it. But for teachers this subject is relatively new. It is not always clear what is possible and what is needed to administer a test digitally.
In the University of Groningen much has been achieved in this area during the past year. In the Aletta Jacobshal (exam hall) a testing room consisting of 288 digital test desks has been set up, in Nestor (Blackboard) various adjustments have been made, and the Idem Dito project team has developed a scenario for the implementation of digital testing in the educational programs at the University of Groningen.
Against this background, an information meeting will be organized on 12 June next for colleagues interested in digital testing from the University of Groningen and other institutes. What are the initial experiences with digital testing at the University of Groningen? In which way may digital testing improve the quality and efficiency of our education? How can we best introduce digital testing from September on?
Lecturers, students and test experts will be speaking at this meeting and questions may be asked. The meeting is the closing event for the Idem Dito project and the launch of digital testing at the University of Groningen! Don’t miss it!
