"Do we need the 'real man' in economic models?" professor Brakman asks on FEBlog

The crisis has shaken the image of man as homo economicus - making only rational decisions. The behavioural economists are winning ground: psychological experiments demonstrate that people often behave non-rationally. However, professor in economics Steven Brakman finds it too early to carry the homo economicus to his grave.
