First light through fiberlink
This week for the first time a light signal from a laser at the VU University in Amsterdam was measured at KVI. The light was transported through a fiber link from the Laser Centre in Amsterdam to Groningen. The very precise laser signals will be used for ultraprecise measurements on fundamental symmetries in atoms and molecules in the framework of the FOM programme 'Broken mirrors and drifting constants'.
