Model reduction in a behavioral framework

23 January 2009

PhD ceremony: M. Ha Binh, 14.45 uur, Academiegebouw, Broerstraat 5, Groningen

Thesis: Model reduction in a behavioral framework

Promotor(s): prof.dr. H.L. Trentelman

Faculty: Mathematics and Natural Sciences

Minh Ha Binh has studied a number of problems related to the theory of model reduction and model approximation in systems and control theory. This theory aims to approach a given open system in the best possible way via a new open system with lower complexity. This is particularly important when a given open system is to be simulated on a computer and the computer’s calculating capacity is insufficient.
