Linking education to research and career preparation
Our education is strongly research-based. Right from the start of your degree programme attention is paid to academic research, since an analytical and critical mind and problem-solving capabilities are important qualities in any career our students aspire.
At the same time, a clear link with professional practice is made. In every course, through assignments, guest lectures, or other activities, students apply what they learn to the professional practice of HR. As such, students are engaged in preprofessional development.
The MScHRM is linked to the research department of Organizational Behaviour. Members of this department perform research in the area of creativity and innovation, teams, diversity, leadership, ethics, compliance, and health. One example of our members is Prof. dr. Floor Rink. As a researchers on diversity she focuses on the way that people with different opinions or backgrounds function within organizations. In this video she explains how people with different opinions or backgrounds function within organizations, how to promote more career opportunities for minorities and whether new employees really bring more innovation.
