On Saturday 8 June, the entire city centre of Groningen bustled with activity. From the Academy Building to the Der Aa-kerk and the Groninger Museum, visitors enjoyed more than 150 acts, including scientific experiments and demonstrations, lectures on this year’s anniversary theme of inclusion, debates, workshops and, of course, a lot of street theatre, cabaret and music.

Prominent names on the programme of the Night included presenter Tim Hofman, singer Roxeanne Hazes, NRC columnist and television producer Clarice Gargard, Boom Chicago founder Greg Shapiro and, from Groningen, our own Marlene Bakker.
