By public transport

Trains from all directions stop at Groningen Railway Station. Busses stop in front of the railway station. The bus stop closest to the Academy building is Grote Markt (10 minutes by bus). From this location it takes 8 minutes to walk to Broerstraat 5.

By foot from the train station in Groningen

The distance between the trainstation and the Academic Building, Broerstraat 5 is 1,1 km. It will take approximately 20 minutes to walk from the train station to the Academic building.

By car

Visitors are advised to use the general parking facility Ossenmarkt in the city centre of Groningen. From the Ossenmarkt car park, cross the nearest bridge and walk straight into the Oude Boteringestraat. Turn the second street right (third if you count the alley) and enter the Broerstraat. The Academy building is located on your right.

Via Groningen airport Eelde (GRQ)

Groningen airport Eelde (GRQ) is the closest airport to Groningen.

From GRQ to Groningen station

By bus:
you can take bus 100 which stops at the entrance of the airport. It takes ~40 minutes to get to Groningen train station. Tickets (~€3,50) are available in the bus.

By taxi:
It takes 15 minutes by taxi to get to Groningen train station.

Via Schiphol airport (AMS)

Schiphol airport (AMS) is the airport in the vicinity of Amsterdam, from which you can reach Groningen by train (~2 hours). The train station at Schiphol airport is located in the same building as the airport. After exiting customs, follow signs to the trains and you will arrive in the station hall. There is a machine for buying train tickets in the baggage- collection area and at the station area. A ticket will cost around €26 (single way, 2nd class). There are two trains you can take from Schiphol airport to Groningen (both take 2 hours and 9 minutes)
