Science programme Conference: “Growing together: Celebrating diversity and fostering inclusion”

EQUiiP - Designing and Teaching Inclusive International Programmes

Workshop facilitator: Dr Kevin Haines, University of Groningen, NL

The internationalization of higher education has resulted in a greater diversity of learners and teaching staff in universities. This places new demands on the university teaching staff and programme directors who need to master an additional set of skills and competences to ensure the inclusion of all students. This also places additional demands on educational developers and teacher trainers.

The (Erasmus+) EQUiiP project (2016 – 2019) provides educational developers and teacher trainers with an integrated programme of Continuing Professional Development modules. These modules will be provided through an open source platform to support university teaching staff across Europe. This session provides participants with a preview of the new platform, which will be officially launched at the project’s Closing Conference at Freiburg University on 13th June (see for details).

During this workshop, participants will be able to familiarize themselves with EQUiiP materials through hands-on tasks developed by the project.
