University of Groningen Library Support Pure support About Pure

Notice for Pure Usage Analytics

17 December 2019

We’d like to inform Pure users that the Pure Usage Analytics will be turned on on Jan 1, 2020.  The usage analytics provide the Pure team in the library with information such as the number of logins and amount of content  created over time, which in turn helps us to support better the Pure user community at our institution.

What data is being collected

The information collected by Elsevier, the provider of the Pure system is

  1. An aggregate data about system configuration and usage of modules and services within Pure

  2. Data collected via Adobe Analytics that provides information on how users navigate through Pure. Because Pure is compliant with “Do Not Track”, individual users can  disable usage tracking in their browser, which will disable Adobe Analytics. Information on how to do that can be found here.

Note that data collected via Pure Usage Analytics is not shared with third parties. Further information about data collected in Pure can be found here.
