Aims of the managing board ('regieorgaan') Research Output

30 March 2017

The Etalage project was finished in 2015. This project was concerned with the implementation of Pure and filling the profile pages on the website through Pure. Even though the Etalage project finished two years ago, there still remains a lot of work for the Pure team. To ensure good control through the researchers it was proposed to let a managing board ('regieorgaan) keep track of the further development of Pure.

The “Organizing the RUG Research Data Office” project was also completed recently; however the Research Data Office (RDO) keeps developing itself further as well. Because of this it is decided to let the managing board also keep track of this. The range of the managing board is therefore broadened to research output (publications, data, public outreach, etc.).

The aims of the managing board Research Output are:

  • Set the long term aims for the two implementation organizations (Pure-team and Research Data Office), as well as deciding on a roadmap and adjusting this – when necessary - for the two organizations
  • Keep track of both implementation organizations (quality, quantity, timeliness and risks) and monitors the realization of their aims through reports, sampling, etc
  • Give a final “GO” for important changes and starting new activities
  • Act as a board for escalation in case of deadlocks or calamities
  • Give advice about the role of information on publication and data in the R&O-cycle
  • Act as an ambassador, especially within the RUG (Open Access, RDM, etc.)
