Bert Cornelius was world-famous in Groningen for illustrating the Mussengang serial, which appeared on the back cover of the Groningen university newspaper every week from August 1984 until June 1995.
As part of the 50th anniversary celebrations of what is now called the Ukrant, the University of Groningen Library nog exhibits a huge selection of Cornelius' Mussengang illustrations. The exhibition was curated by Luuk Hajema and Frank den Hollander, two of the Mussengang writers.
