ORCID now displayed on personal UG-profile page
The author’s ID ORCID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID) is now visible on the profile pages of UG-staff. Do you already have an ORCID? Make sure to connect it to your personal profile in Pure; the ORCID-ID is then automatically displayed on your UG-profile.
ORCID is a unique digital identifier to help you distinguish yourself from other authors with the same name. ORCID also increases the visibility of your research. Furthermore, publishers and research funding organizations increasingly ask researchers to have an ORCID.
An ORCID is an individual ID and thus not connected to an organization. That means an ORCID stays with you throughout your academic career. You are in full control of your personal ORCID-page. Creating an ORCID is easy and free of charge. The organization behind ORCID is an open, research-driven non-profit association.
