Open access quotas almost reached for LWW and Springer Nature
The Universities of The Netherlands (UNL) has agreements with major publishers Lippincott Williams & Wilkins (LWW) and Springer Nature, allowing Dutch corresponding authors to publish articles open access without additional article processing charges (APC). However, these agreements have annual quotas that are expected to be reached soon.
Lippincott Williams & Wilkins (LWW)
The quota for 2024 is expected to be reached in mid-September.
Under the LWW agreement, Dutch corresponding authors are allowed to publish a maximum number of open access publications per year without APC charges: 270 articles in 2024.
Springer Nature
The quota for 2024 is expected to be reached in mid-October.
Under the Springer Nature agreement, Dutch corresponding authors can publish up to 2,067 open access articles per year without APC charges.
