Student Portal

The Student Portal is your central information hub. It serves as a communication portal for students and teachers and it gives personalized access to all relevant study information and tools, such as:

  • Course enrollment
  • Schedule generator
  • Grades
  • Important news

On the tab ‘Today’ you can see widgets about the courses you are enrolled in, a personalized schedule, your study progress and important announcements of the university and your faculty (‘Need to know’ and ‘Nice to know’). On the ‘Today’ tab you can also get access to important University of Groningen tools such as Ocasys (course catalogue), Progress (grades and enrollment) and your Student Mail.

On the second tab ‘Study Info’ you can find information regarding regulations, technical support and ICT, student facilities, counselling, FAQs etc. You can also find the Online Study Guide for each degree programme. The new online Study Guide is a user-friendly system, where you can find answers to all their (specific) questions about the degree programme and all other study-related questions quickly, easily, and at any time. Think for example of:

  • Study planning and study programmes of the relevant studies
  • Timetables and course registration
  • Minors and study abroad
  • Graduation
  • Statement requests
  • Study support
  • Board of Examiners
    …and many more!

On the third tab ‘Career you’ll find the career services of your faculty and the university.

The Student Portal is an important website during your time at the university, so please ensure you understand how it works and know where to find the information you need.
