Step-by-step guide on completing registration Pre-Master programme

If you have received an Admission Letter from the Admissions Board which states that you have been admitted to the Pre-Master programme International Relations and International Organization, please follow these instructions to complete your registration.
Registration in Studielink
First of all you need to register via Studielink ( www.rug.studielink.nl ) for the Pre-Master programme International Relations and International Organization
In Studielink please select:
- Bachelor programme
- Start in the first year > 'no'
- Bachelor International Relations and International Organization (pre-Master)
Please note: After registration in Studielink you may get a message that you must also apply via the Online Admission System (OAS) of the University of Groningen. If you have or will attain a Dutch Bachelor's Degree, registration in OAS is not necessary.

. Please note: It is only possible to choose the amount of € 2,006 in Studielink. The fee will be revised to the actual number of ECTS as soon as the Faculty issued the Statement Admission Pre-Master programme (VTP).
Step 2 (of 6): Payment of tuition fees
After registration in Studielink you need arrange the payment of tuition fees at the RUG BEFORE 31 August !
Step 3 (of 6): Validation of conditions
After completing step 1 and 2 you will have to provide proof of meeting the conditions stipulated in the Letter of Admission in order to be registered in the programme. What you need to provide depends on your situation:
|Students with a non-Dutch Bachelor’s Degree||Students with a Dutch Bachelor’s Degree (non-University of Groningen)||Students with a University of Groningen (RUG) Bachelor’s Degree|
If you have or will obtain a non-Dutch Bachelor’s degree you will have received instructions from the Admissions Office about your registration for the pre-master International Relations.
If you have any questions about your registration, please contact the Admissions Office ( email@example.com ).
After you have been granted a Bachelor's Degree , please send an email to the Faculty of Arts Office for Student Affairs, firstname.lastname@example.org in which you ask them to complete your registration for the pre-master programme. The Office for Student Affairs will make a Statement Admission Pre-Master programme (VTP).
If you have not received your Bachelor’s degree yet, an official statement of your degree programme that you have completed your Bachelor programme (graduation date must be 31 August at the latest!) will be sufficient as well.

Step 4 (of 6): Registration for the pre-Master courses
After you have completed steps 1 - 3, you should send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with the following information:
- student number
- the courses (name and ccourse code) you need to be enrolled for.

Step 5 (of 6): Introduction week: Study Start Week
The introduction week for the pre-Master programme will start on Monday 4 September 2017. You can find the timetables here.
Step 6 (of 6): Get Started
Before you start it is important that you check all these ‘to do’ points and read all the information to be fully prepared:
- Activate your student account
- Upload photo student card
- Check out the Student Portal
- Student Mail
- Check your schedule

Prepare for your stay in Groningen
For a good study start you (with the help of the University of Groningen) will have to arrange a lot of things. Where will you live? Do you need a residence permit or a visa? And what about health insurance?
International Students: The University organizes an official Welcoming Ceremony for all new international students on Thursday 31 August 2017.
