Digital Humanities Day 2014

On October 31st, the first Digital Humanities Day will take place. We have an exciting program, including:

  • A keynote by prof. Gerhard Lauer (University of Göttingen): “ Sorry, I have digitized my scholarship: Humanities in the digital age
  • Hands-on workshops on “Using Social Media Data in Research”, “Geographical Information Systems” and “Text and Image Recognition”
  • Research pitches on projects in the field of Digital Humanities
  • Lunch at the University Library and a presentation of the SHA_RE art work

We hope to welcome many of you during the day!

Digital Humanities Day is an initiative of the new Centre for Digital Humanities that will be officially launched at this occasion. The centre aims to provide a vibrant research climate which fosters innovative research and fuses the strengths of humanities research with those of computer and information science.
