Successful tests target station Super-FRS
A delegation of scientists and engineers from GSI visited KVI-CART on the 13th and 14th of September to meet with the team in charge of the conceptual design of the target station of the Super-FRS at FAIR. The focus of the visit was on the so-called shielding plug, designed and manufactured at KVI-CART in a collaborative effort with GSI. A series of tests demonstrated that the plug moves very smoothly and with extremely high precision in position
