Understanding and protecting human data
What is the future of data science? How to use this data to reveal key factors and processes explaining human behaviour? How do we keep this data safe ?
Our researchers use dynamical models in combination with statistics to gain insight in the structure and changes in behavioural data. These are valuable tools for testing theories to explain human behaviour across domains. For example, in cognition, psychopathology, and environmental psychology. Extensive protocols protect the data from misuse.
Involved master tracks: Cognitive Psychology and Psychophysiology, Developmental Psychology (in Dutch), Environmental Psychology, Talent Development and Creativity, Research master Behavioural and Social Sciences
Examples of research projects: Explaining and predicting breakdowns and breakthroughs in athlete's careers, Development of computerized adaptive tests for psychopathology for use of general practitioners in the Northern Netherlands, Assessment and study behaviour in higher education
