Assessment and study behaviour in higher education

Psychometrics and Statistics

This project seeks to evaluate the effectiveness of changes in course design and assessment practise to bring about change in study behaviour and better performance. Different projects with a (quasi-)experimental design will be conducted at the University of Groningen in the bachelor programs of psychology (+/- 350 students per year) and pedagogical science (+/- 250 students per year). Examples of project that are evaluated are the flipped classroom , computer based examination in higher education as well as the use of diagnostic value of subscores on exams
