Cognition and mobility in healthy ageing

Clinical and Developmental Neuropsychology, Experimental Psychology

As we grow older staying mobile is of crucial importance for a healthy and thriving life. However as ageing can be linked to changes in cognitive performance and/or in brain structures, this can cause problems for mobility. In my project I assess the changes in mobility, cognitive performance and brain structures as people age. I focus on the group of young elderly around retirement age, as this life phase is accompanied by numerous changes and is a major life event.
