About Orthoreka!

The goal of Orthoreka! is to give excellent and practically relevant Master theses from the department of Special Needs Education and Youth Care of the University of Groningen an online platform to increase their visibility.

This goal is motivated in two ways: First, we want to protect valuable information from ending up in the proverbial desk-drawer and to make the Master theses available to a wider public. With this platform we hope that relevant information from the Master theses becomes accessible for practitioners, students and researchers of other universities. Secondly, this platform provides student with a means to exhibit their work and provide a valuable addition to their résumés.

Each submission to Orthoreka! is reviewed by a group of PhD candidates from the department of Special Needs Education and Youth Care as a means of quality control. Each submission is reviewed on the following points: meets the quality demands of Orthoreka!, does not lead to privacy issues, and has scientific and/or practical relevance. A summary of the thesis is then uploaded to this website where it is accessible to the public. The whole thesis is available upon a request and this request can be send to the Master thesis coordinator.
