EUSARF Lifetime Achievement Award 2016 for Professor Erik Knorth
Professor Erik Knorth (Orthopedagogy/Child and Youth Care) has received the EUSARF Lifetime Achievement Award 2016 on behalf of the European Scientific Association on Residential and Family Care for Children and Adolescents.
The prestigious prize has been awarded because of Knorth's great achievements and his leadership regarding national and international research on psychosocial care and treatment of children and families with serious psychosocial problems, and because of his unwavering committment to connect researchers and practitioners in this domain. He was awarded, in the presence of some 500 researchers from all over the world, at Oviedo (Spain) where the 14th International EUSARF Conference took place. In his words of thanks Knorth emphasized the importance of knowledge exchange and international cooperation in studying the most vulnerable members in our society.
