There is a worldwide trend toward inclusive education. An increasing amount of children with disabilities attends regular education. Unfortunately, some children with disabilities experience problems regarding their social participation. It appears that their peers’ attitudes are not always positive.
The theoretically underpinned educational intervention “Everybody belongs!” (Dutch: Iedereen. hoort erbij!) is being developed in order to promote the social participation of children with a disability. The related research project will examine the effectiveness of the educational intervention.
