Regulations Working Group Occupational Health, Safety and Environment (A&M)

Task

The working group A&M is responsible for:

  1. Advising the Faculty Board on the policy they should follow, and its implementation in connection with the health, safety and environmental context within the Faculty of Behavioural and Social Sciences;
  2. Advising the Faculty Board on the faculty rules and criteria that should apply to the safety and health provisions in the faculty buildings;
  3. Advising the Faculty Board on the impact of university wide and national legislation on health, safety and environmental issues for the current policy and investment plans of the faculty in connection with health, safety and environmental protection;
  4. Advising the Faculty Board on the OH-year plan, including the proposed spending of the health and safety budget, and the health and safety report;
  5. Advising the Faculty Board on general and specific assessments in the field of health, safety and environmental management within the Faculty of BSS.

Composition

The composition of the working group Occupational Health, Safety and Environment:

  1. Five staff members: one member from the Department of Psychology; one member from the Department of Sociology; one member from the Department of Pedagogy / Education; one member from the Department for Teacher Training; one member from the Faculty Services.
  2. One or two student members who are enrolled at the Faculty of BSS.
  3. One of the staff members will act as chairman.

Advisory Members

  1. Advisory members can be added to the working group from both the Faculty of Behavioural and Social Sciences and from university wide services.
  2. The Health, Safety and Environment Coordinator of the Faculty of BSS, and a representative of the Health, Safety and Environmental Services of the RUG are advisory members.
  3. Other advisory members can, in consultation with the FB, be added on the basis of their specific knowledge in connection with Health, Safety and Environmental Care.

Appointment

  1. The chairman is approached and appointed by the Faculty Board.
  2. The members from the various departments are nominated by the Directors of Study and Research and appointed by the Faculty Board.
  3. The member from the Faculty Services will be nominated by the Managing Director (PH-middelen) and appointed by the FB.
  4. The members mentioned above are appointed for three years; this term may be extended once.
  5. The members from the students are nominated by the student members of the Faculty Council, and appointed by the FB. These members are appointed for a period of one year; their term can be prolonged once.

Procedure

  1. The working group meets as often as the chairman or at least two members of the group consider necessary, but at least once a year.
  2. In case of equality of votes, the vote of the chairman shall be decisive.

Support

  1. The working group is supported by the faculty coordinator for Health, Safety and Environment.
