Study geography and urban planning in Groningen

The Faculty of Spatial Sciences offers 2 bachelor and 7 master programmes within the field of geography, demography and urban planning which are taught in English. As the only independent Faculty of Spatial Sciences in the Netherlands, our focus is entirely spatial. Our goal is to educate future-placemakers to make neighborhoods, cities, regions and countries better, with the motto: 'making places better together'.

This two year programme trains you to do research in spatial sciences. The programmeprovides you with the opportunity to specialise in economic geography, cultural geography, demography or planning. The emphasis lies on translating real-world problems into research questions and to determine which research methodologies are best suited to investigate these problems
