Studying in the United States of America

These are the partner universities in the United States you can visit to study abroad. Please meet with Paul van Steen to be nominated to apply. Application is done by the Spatial Sciences International Office. Also contact him to get access to the Nestor Organization Spatial Sciences Abroad.

State University of New York at Geneseo

The State University of New York (SUNY) has over 60 locations in the state New York. One of these locations is Geneseo, south of the city Rochester, where students of the Faculty of Spatial Sciences can take courses at the Department of Geography. Students can also write their bachelor- or masterthesis here. You can only write your thesis from September to December and/or early January until the late April/early May. Courses are given from the end of August until the end of December and the end of January until the start of June.

University of Washington (Seattle)

You can choose courses at the Department of Urban Design and Planning and the Department of Economic Geography. The courses are given from September to December, January to March and March to June. Seattle has always been a popular destination for students of the Faculty of Spatial Sciences.

University of Nebraska (Omaha)

You can take courses at a bachelor level.

NEURUS:

Students from the Faculty of Spatial Sciences who participate in the NEURUS programme can do their independent research study at one of these universities:

  • University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill (North Carolina)
  • University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign (Illinois)
  • University of California, Irvine (California)
