Good and Evil: Introduction to Ethics

Progress code: FI080GEK / ECTS: 5
Everyone has moral opinions: ideas about what is good and what is evil, and about how people ought to behave. The course Good and Evil provides an overview of philosophical theories that try to systematize these opinions: consequentialism, Kantian ethics, social contract theory and virtue ethics. We will also discuss the status of moral opinions: are they subjective feelings, or are some moral opinions objectively correct and others objectively incorrect?
