Talent development is one of the main strategic goals of the University of Groningen:
- The University of Groningen provides support for academics at all stages of their careers via the Talent Development Programme led the Dean of Talent Development. Our internal staff training programme offers a variety of options for personal and career development, for instance by improving foreign language proficiency, leadership skills, teaching skills, etc.
- For non-academic staff we offer the Talent Travel programme, designed to stimulate staff to look beyond the boundaries of their own job and gain work experience elsewhere.
FEB provides researchers with a budget for attending international conferences, contributing to international networks, and collaborating with colleagues. Moreover, financial and organisational resources are available for organising seminars, conferences or workshops, and inviting visiting professors from abroad for joint research projects. The total annual budget for academic staff professional development is over €500,000.
