Peter Verhoef appointed Fellow of the European Marketing Academy
Prof. Peter Verhoef has been appointed Fellow of the European Marketing Academy (EMAC), the largest academic marketing organization in Europe with members from both Western and Eastern Europe as well as Asia, Australia and North America.
‘This appointment is primarily a token of appreciation for our academic achievements and the commitment of our department within EMAC’, says Verhoef. ‘I have been chosen to join a select group of scholars who have contributed greatly to the development of European marketing studies. That’s a very nice acknowledgement.’
EMAC 2017: Leaving footprints
‘Being active within EMAC is important for us if we want to increase the visibility and impact of the research conducted in our department. That’s why several colleagues, including Jaap Wieringa, Tammo Bijmolt and myself, have been closely involved in the network’s activities for years. Our efforts have recently enabled us to host the annual EMAC conference in Groningen. In May 2017, we will be promoting our city, our university and our faculty at an international level under the heading “Leaving Footprints”.’
